Robert's life mission is to inspire positive change. He does this as a faculty member, author, consultant and speaker. He is a chaired professor at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business and one of the co-founders and of the Center for Positive Organizations. As an author he has published 18 books on leading positive organizations. His best-selling volume, Deep Change has been used across the world. His book, The Best Teacher in You won the Ben Franklin Award designating it the best book in education for 2015. The Harvard Business Review has selected his paper, Moments of Greatness: Entering the Fundamental State of Leadership," as a classic and included it in their 10 Must Reads on Managing Yourself. As a consultant he has 35 years of experience and is best known for the competing values framework, a tool that has been used by tens of thousands of managers. As a speaker he is recognized for drawing on research, opening minds to possibility, and arousing the desire to grow. He is a fellow of the Academy of Management and the World Business Academy. Quinn grew up in Newport, RI, and resides in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He is the father of six and grandfather of 15. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He and his wife spent three years leading the Australia, Adelaide Mission (2006-2009). He currently serves as a youth teacher and leads the Stake Sunday School organization.
SHAURI QUINN DEWEY
Shauri has worked in media for the last 15 years. She wrote and produced the children's Internet show: Ready, Set, Internet! for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. As a consultant for Root Learning, she wrote and produced digital e-learning modules and eventually co-created and led their video department.
After marrying her husband, James, she began to follow him to various Embassies around the world where he works as a U.S. diplomat. In 2011, on their first posting to Baghdad, she ran the US Embassy's TV studio and had the opportunity to not only work with 4-star Generals, traveling dignitaries and national media personalities, but also to dodge incoming rockets on a regular basis.
Shauri received an undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University, and a graduate certificate from Georgetown University. She currently lives in Alexandria, VA with her husband, James and their daughter, Cora. She served a Spanish-speaking mission to Anaheim, CA, and is the Relief Sociey President in their ward.
